
“Libraries will ultimately be forced to use computers” (Barach, 1962)
In 1962 Arnold B. Barach wrote a book about the way the future was about to become. He tries and describes using realistic interpolation different technological innovation. This post feature a librarian using a gigantic computer to store/find references. Barach’s idea was that the increasing volume of paper publications will someday forces us to drop the old library card system for a much powerful way of organizing and retrieving references.
